It has been a few months, I know. But here's the thing... my freaking house burned down! It'll be a while before I'm ready to blog again, sorry... But until then, I need to sort some stuff out. So, goodbye for now. I'll be back before you know it!
Three times the charm once again! I know I said I'd be back, I almost left for good...I am so sorry about not being able to do this for the people that actually read this. But ever since I last got on, I have lost so many 'friends' I thought cared about me, but in general, they didn't care at all. It seems nowadays no one cares about anyone. I tried to reach y'all through the power of apps but it didn't work right. I promise I will be on here more often. I mean it this time; because I am managing my websites pretty much full time. I am bringing back my failed PikaFilm Project. A risky attempt most people would be embarrassed to do. Once most projects are down in the dirt, they never come back but I am going deeper for this one. I want to set up my website/fan group before the holidays end. I will post a link in the next blog! But that reminds me: inspiration can be a big thing sometimes! This one video with this girl that just started her Youtube a while back inspired me to keep this project from running into the dirt. She talked about how she was inspired, and who says inspiration can't be contagious? Anyways, I will post a link to her channel down here if you want to check it out. It is the last video on the bottom. See ya! ~Dylan Mays
http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnkMrKltU-n-FLmoja4-tsQ So I have a little time here and there to update you guys on whatever is going on. I got a new Android tablet yesterday so I will be able to blog a little more often. Not a lot has happened this past week but my friend went through a break up recently; really they were both my friends. So I have to be careful to support both of them and not get caught in between. Although, it has taught me one thing: life is about choices, and sometimes it can hurt to make the right one. In order to do the right thing, you have to sacrifice some things like choices you decide not to make. It can be a real pain and you can miss out on a lot but in the end it gets better and works out okay. And I know not every time it will work out but if it's for a good reasoning then you should be fine. Well I have to get off but I'll try to get on soon. See ya later!
Ok... so it wasn't exactly as I planned it. Trust me, I planned to at least try not to let you guys down. But with my school schedule changing from 4 periods and 8 hours of school to 8 periods and 9 and a half hours of school, problems with a girl, and having too much math homework to handle in one day along with 4 essays in a week. This month has been complete craziness. I am much happier now after a horrible week, although I have a bunch of homework still. I am going to have to cancel my website planning for PikaFilm and Pok'eGuide; I am way too busy to even care a little. I might not be on here again until the holidays but I will still try to do what little I can. I apologize in advance if that makes up for anything else later on. So yeah, I am terribly sorry for those that do read this. (I know I said that before; I just read it.) Love and loneliness can be hard to handle but I am trying to stay strong. These past 6 years have been nuts with my dad dying and all. I don't remember if I told you guys that or not, I may have already. Loss can be hard and it doesn't ever seem any better even after a long hard time. But above all, you have to stay strong with your heart. Your emotions are the key to handling loss. You have to learn the right time to cry and the right time not to. Like the time my grandmother died and I was with my little brother at her funeral. My little brother was about to cry and I knew if I cried he would, too. So I decided to just hold it back and cheer him up instead. Well I have to get off now, so I might not see y'all until the holidays. I can leave y'all with this awesome singer. Check out her covers on YouTube! Well until then, see y'all later! (or on the holidays.)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4lisZM5EO8&list=PLg49Px95ItQrgs0NeCPy82LvkHotrfjz7 So I haven't been on here in a month and I'm terribly sorry to the few people that read this, if anyone does. My washer broke, my family got a new English bulldog named Belle Star; what a whiner. My room was remodeled and I made a new website. If you want to check it out, it will be posted at the bottom. (It's for Pokémon, if you're a fan of that.) Well, anyways, I decided that I will split my time between updating my new website and blogging on here monthly-ish... So expect to see more of me every month or a couple times in one month and none in another; whatever fits my schedule. I also created a group for the Pokémon Fans, games, anime, franchise, etc. called PikaFilm. You can go to the website below for more details. It's in the 'About Us' subpage. So see y'all around August 3rd or so. 'Till then, Peace and Happy Battling!
(http://novelnerd0560.wix.com/pok3gu1de) I haven't been on here in about three months due to school. But there has been something up lately that I wanted to blog about. Have you ever had a friend that has been used or bullied? It doesn't matter what age you are, there are always mean people out there that want to hurt and control other people. If so, don't abandon them; even if it means helping to fight their battles. There are some people out there that feel so alone no one even cares to listen to them. The next time you see someone looking upset and sitting alone, go up to them and talk to them. Who knows? Maybe you will make a greater impact on their life than you thought.
I've been learning in my history class about the cold war and some of the events of the korean war; about how we divided it with the 38th parallel boundary line and how the united states tried to free it from china's communist party and northern invasion. I know about how this led to the threat from north korea and how they can really best us if they put their mind to it. I know it isn't a good thing, too. Everyone takes it for granted like we're invincible; but we know we're not. We're afraid to see others rise against us. We feel like we can beat anyone in the world and that we must help others like we're the big brother of all nations. That's what led to the events of the vietnam war and the north korean nuclear threat. We owe the world more than we have from all that we spend. What this country needs most is to pull out of any war we're in and to help ourselves for once. I know it sounds like a long shot but we need to help ourselves and pay what we owe before we end up broken and dead. Also, if we keep the wars up, we will be an open target for anyone to attack us. Look around you, if you are a U.S. citizen then you should know how we feel about our proud homeland. If you are a veteran, you know about the cost and effort it takes to protect the glory of our country. You know you must protect your families and each other. The issues of other countries should be dealt with by those countries, not us. We should only fight if it is necessary, but we are a weakened country. We can't fight without a ton of loss. If you are a history buff then you should know about how president washington didn't want our interference in other countries. We didn't listen to him and look at us now.The only way to win this fight is to win it at home.
Have you ever thought about what you want to do with your life? I've been thinking recently about the events in my life and what I want to do for a career. I've tried science (astronomy, geology, archeology, etc.). That isn't particularly my best subject, anyways. I've thought about teaching, game designing and even songwriting. I've actually been told that I'd be good at writing lyrics for a living, but most of the work it takes to get there costs more than you'll make. It costs more to get there than what it will give you. But I've done a little more research and thought about it more and i actually want to get a bachelor of arts in journalism. That way I can become a journalist. Not a reporter but the type of person that writes for newspapers and such. The point I'm trying to get across is that there is always something someone wants to do with their life. Try to look into your strengths and weaknesses for what you would be comfortable and good at doing. Not everyone needs to go to college for what they want to do in life but if you need to then you should go. Life isn't going to wait around for you to make a move it's going to get up and walk away if you don't make a move now. It's never too late to start until your 25 waking up at 50. Make a change and start your future. Start now.
First of all, let's discuss what a person's 'image' and first impression is. What is a personal image? When a person acts dumb in public you would think it'd hurt their reputation, right? Well basically, a person's image is reflected by their reputation and every single thing they do affects it. When you act with kindness you are portrayed as a nice person. When you act like a moron you are portrayed as annoying. Whatever your image is, it is how most people look at you and define you. See, people hold hatred and judgement in their hearts because of different reasons depending on the person. They make a personal dictionary in their mind of people who act out. This is their way of defining the people around them. I don't really know why people do this or how it came to be. What I do know is it is part of human nature...the heart. The heart holds greed and hatred along with love and kindness. Now what are the reasons why people do this? Can they stop it or control it? You can't do much about how people look at you but you can change the way you look at people. Just try to look at the good aspects of who people are. Try to look at their good deeds and actions like charity and such. I grew up in a family where people don't judge by anything but character. Try to keep it that way for yours. I know I will for mine.
I was reading an article by Yahoo! News earlier last year, not too long ago, give or take a few months. It said that some girl over in another country couldn't keep her name the way it was because they had laws against the type of names given. The laws stated that any name that wasn't on the list of appropriate names was not allowed to be used for the child. The laws were put in place, if I'm not mistaken, because of situations such as being difficult to pronounce and if the letters were not in the country's alphabet or such. Now here in America, we all know that a namesake given to a child is a gift, as well as identifying yourself in your own unique way. It is who you are and allows people to recognize you. As for me, people would either say things like, "Hey! That's the guy who used to act crazy around us!" or "Oh, that guy? He's really nice!". (I'm not self-proclaimedly perfect if that is the image you get in your mind...I just am recognized as either weird or nice.) Anyways, back on the main topic. In America, your name is important to identify who you are. So here, I understand on both sides where they stand for their views but a name is a gift like life is God-given. A person should have the name they were born with, whether it's legal or not. I also got back on today, and I stumbled upon the same, but updated, story about the girl in the fight for her name. I am now glad to say she won her fight. I am glad for her because any smart, beautiful young woman deserves the unique name she owns.
