I've been learning in my history class about the cold war and some of the events of the korean war; about how we divided it with the 38th parallel boundary line and how the united states tried to free it from china's communist party and northern invasion. I know about how this led to the threat from north korea and how they can really best us if they put their mind to it. I know it isn't a good thing, too. Everyone takes it for granted like we're invincible; but we know we're not. We're afraid to see others rise against us. We feel like we can beat anyone in the world and that we must help others like we're the big brother of all nations. That's what led to the events of the vietnam war and the north korean nuclear threat. We owe the world more than we have from all that we spend. What this country needs most is to pull out of any war we're in and to help ourselves for once. I know it sounds like a long shot but we need to help ourselves and pay what we owe before we end up broken and dead. Also, if we keep the wars up, we will be an open target for anyone to attack us. Look around you, if you are a U.S. citizen then you should know how we feel about our proud homeland. If you are a veteran, you know about the cost and effort it takes to protect the glory of our country. You know you must protect your families and each other. The issues of other countries should be dealt with by those countries, not us. We should only fight if it is necessary, but we are a weakened country. We can't fight without a ton of loss. If you are a history buff then you should know about how president washington didn't want our interference in other countries. We didn't listen to him and look at us now.The only way to win this fight is to win it at home.
